Hi and welcome to the John Gorn podcast. Something a little bit different today. I've basically

just written down a random list of what's been going on over the last fortnight, including today.

I nearly made a podcast a couple of days ago and then I decided no, the atmosphere was too dangerous.

Would I get arrested if I said the wrong thing?

I'm being serious. So then I fell prey to the worst kind of censorship there is in the world,

and it's called self-censorship. I'm angry that that's what's happening in this great country of ours.

Free speech is definitely under attack.

So today, and an old listener of mine rang me up this morning,

and he's prompted me to do this,

he just said, well, just talk about your reflections.

So that's what I'm doing.

This is a reflective piece.

There's no answers.

I'm just going to go through what's been happening

in the past couple of weeks tell you my views and then find out what you think you can always

which i'll read out in the next podcast. But I nearly gave up again,

because I thought, I don't want to fall into this trap of,

I've got to take my side and stick two fingers up at everybody else,

which is what's happening at the moment in all social media and on many podcasts.

So these are just the rambling thoughts of Chairman John.
