Um, I have been dreaming a lot about my father who abused me when I was a child.

I feel like I've gone through counseling to become...

I'm sorry, what, how old were you and what kind of abuse are we talking about?

Physical abuse from the time from my first memory on.

I have no idea when your first memory was.

Could you fill that in for me?

Well, it was about four, four years old. So you think he beat you from you

were four years old till when? So when I was 18 and left the house.

So when you were 17, 18 years old, he was still beating you.

With his fists, with a belt, how is he doing it?

A fist, like he broke my pinkies with a hammer, stuff like that.

So he came after you with a hammer and only managed to break your pinky?

Well, yeah, he just put it on a shop bench and broke it with a hammer.

So he held your hand down? Yeah, yeah. And did you go to the hospital to get it set?

No. And how would it heal? That smashes the finger, the joints. Well, I know, they're both, you can still tell that they were broken but I mean

that was just kind of how I grew up.

And there were no siblings or a mom in the house. Was it that nobody noticed? Oh, no, I have seven siblings and my mom and I grew up in a really religious family that just didn't really talk about it.
