I have been struggling for quite a while because my mother, I'm an only child, my mother and I've had a tumultuous relationship, you know, through the teenage years as normal, through the young adult years.

And then we kind of got a little bit better.

In the last five or six years, it's gotten a little bit worse. My dad passed away seven years ago. And when he passed away, I kind of really reconnected with her and tried to forgive and forget.

But my mother cheated on my dad with the same man for over 20 years. And I just can't, I can't let that go. And I can't get over it. And I've talked to friends, I've talked to counselors and.

What do you mean you can't get over it? I don't know what that means. I'm just resentful. Very resentful towards my mother.

Well, how about you? Okay, you're resentful to your mother that she had. She let a double life. Yeah.

Okay. I mean, can you work yourself up to be upset and angry right now? Oh, yeah.

Did she not feed you? Did she beat you? Did she abandon you? Did she neglect you? I need to know directly how it impacted you?

Well, that's a different story. Yeah. That's her personality trait. Yeah.

I'm saying whether it was good, better and different. It didn't take away from her providing mothering to you. In spite of the fact she may have been picky and annoying. Yeah.
