Hi, Dr. Laura. Thank you for taking my call. How are you?

I've been meeting to call you. I've been a listener for approximately five years and I will try to keep this short and sweet and not go into too much detail.

But my husband and I are happily married for 20 years. We have two children. I'm calling regarding our 19 year old son.

At a very young age, he was diagnosed with ADHD. He spent in trouble throughout school, mostly impulsiveness and behavior issues.

Fast forward throughout high school, mostly the same, except it had entailed more lying, more manipulation.

We ended up taking him to several psychologists and counselors over the years, approximately four or five.

And one of the psychologist diagnosed him as a sociopath because of his lack of empathy and sympathy manipulation and lying.

So my question is, my son is a therapist.

Is the therapist explained to you that that's not fixable? She did, yes.

Okay. Yes. I guess my question is, my son from the age of 16 has not been able to hold a job. He has no accountability for his...

Yes, correct.

Well, we don't need to talk about him anymore. You have the diagnosis and you know the future.

You do anything for him. Sweetheart, there's nothing you can do for him.
