I'm going to branch out a little bit today. Don't really feel like talking about medicine. I figure,

0:05.2

hey, it's my podcast. I can blab about whatever I want. You know, I woke up this morning. I was

0:10.9

thinking about an episode that happened in my life about maybe 15 years ago, came home from work one day,

0:20.3

and my wife, she was in the office talking with one of her

0:23.9

friends on the phone, and the doors were closed, but she talks really loud so you can pretty much

0:30.9

hear her whenever she's on the phone if you're like a hundred yards away. Not that hard to hear.

0:36.3

And she was telling her friend, listen, you got to stay away from

0:39.4

these cool guys, the jocks, you know, all the people that are popular. I got myself a nerd and

1:31.3

You know, a nurse one time asked me, she had read my novel and she liked and she said,

1:35.3

how do I have all this time to do things like write and a lot of things I do outside of medicine?

1:41.3

And there actually is an answer which is basically what I don't do,

1:45.8

meaning I don't watch much sports. I don't care about anything that would make it into People

1:52.1

magazine. I don't go to church or synagogue. No, sports, listen, I watch about half of each Denver

1:59.6

Nuggets game or Broncos game when they're still in contention for the playoffs because I only watch half because I fast forward through a lot of it.

2:06.7

I watch the final four in March Madness and parts of Olympia.
