0:14.6	I'm going to read a few verses. If you're new to church, I hope this is not the most painful
0:19.1	experience of your life. But I'm going to read a few verses.
0:22.2	And I'll explain kind of a groundwork, give you a framework for where we're going tonight.
0:27.2	But we are ending, this is the climactic conclusion of a series that we've been in called God has a what?
0:36.4	God has a plan. This is the end of it tonight. It's so hard to say
0:41.3	goodbye. Boys to men. But let me read some verses. Then we'll jump in. It says now when
0:49.0	Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, on Twitter, who do people say
0:57.4	that the son of man is? And they said, well, you know, some say John the Baptist, others have put
1:03.6	up memes that you're like Elijah, and others, Jeremiah, are one of the prophets. And he said to them,
1:09.3	well, who do you say that I am simon peter replied he said well you are
1:15.2	the christ the son of the living god and jesus answered him and said blessed are you simon for flesh and blood
1:23.7	is not revealed this to you but my father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter.
1:30.0	And on this rock, now I want to just pause just for one moment, because we're going to land
1:34.2	on the next few words that Jesus speaks right here. This is kind of where we're going to be tonight,
1:39.4	where we're going to camp out. These are amazingly epic words that Jesus echoes into the history books. He looks at this man,
1:47.3	Peter, and he says, I say that you are Peter and on this rock, I will build my church. And the gates of
1:56.1	hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on
2:01.8	earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. This is an
2:08.6	amazing story. I just such a riveting experience and encounter that Jesus has with a man named
2:14.8	Peter in the Bible. He asks, he bates his disciples, his crew.
