Mark chapter four, go there in your Bible, Mark chapter four, verse 18.

I want to start a brand new series called The Adventure of a Lifetime.

And I just like this because when you follow God, you go on this crazy adventure.

And we haven't asked you to sign up for membership at a building or a church,

but for us as a community, we want to be people that follow the way, follow the person.

And when you do that, when you say yes to following God, when you say yes to Jesus, you get swept up into what I believe is the adventure of a lifetime.

And this is kind of hard for some of us because some of us do not like to adventure.

I'm in that category.

I like to say I was built for comfort.

Like God built me perfectly for the spa.

Somebody say amen.

Julia is built for pain. Inflicting pain. Like excruciating pain. Like if it's painful, Julie's like,

ah, cold plunge, yeah. I'm like, where's the sauna?

But Julia loves to adventure.

She's the one that jumps out of planes.

She bungee jumps.

She runs marathon.

Julie's so crazy, she did this thing a couple years ago where with her sisters and friends,

I don't know where she finds these friends, they did this thing called Hood to Coast, not like the hood, like L.A. Like from Mount Hood, a mountain, all the way to the coast,

like hundreds of miles. And these 12 people, you take different legs, different segments,

and you run miles. And Julia had like a leg. One of her legs was at like 2.30 in the morning in the wilderness

in Oregon. And I was like, you couldn't catch me dead in the woods in Oregon. I feel more safe
