In March of 2024, a 78 year old woman in San Francisco named Mary Fong Lau was driving her

Mercedes SUV around 70 miles an hour in a 30 mile per hour zone

on the wrong side of the road in the residential neighborhood known as West Portal.

But she didn't get very far. Within second, she obliterated a family of four that was waiting at a bus stop to go to the zoo.

and skidding directly into a bus shelter where a family was waiting.
