Morning everybody, welcome along to your free podcast. I'm sorry I wasn't here yesterday. I was otherwise engaged in a hospital bed.

And we had rain overnight, wherever you are, you probably had a bit of rain as well.

And still they're talking about the X Factor.

Still they're talking about the competition between the X Factor and Strictly come dancing.

X Factor they say could be moving from its prime time because they've put it up against Strictly and they can't beat it.

Now, there is no other reason that they can't beat it, apart from the fact that strictly only comes around once a year,

whereas X Factor seems to be permanently on the television.

And they're constantly looking at new ways of trying to sell it.

And I think we've all got quite used to the way they operate on the X Factor. You'll have a couple of people who sing brilliantly, then you'll have the silly ones who we have to put up with it. It's a bit like you've got the apprentice coming back. Another bunch of ne'er-do-wells, people who tell lies. You know, I was reading the thing the other day. I said it on air.

They're all sort of, oh, I'm a company director. I thought, well, obviously not very successful.

If you're having to go on a television program to tell people that, you know, when we know,

no is not an option in my world and all this kind of stuff. And it's a mixed assortment of, as I say, ne'er-do-well's compulsive liars and people who think, I just want to be on television.

One of them's already lost his girlfriend because he bedded one of the other contestants.

I mean, I ask you, how much lower can it sink? The answer is quite much lower.

And we'll have to put up with the stupid people.
