Welcome to the Bible Study. I'm Stephen Lawson, president of One Passion Ministries.

And each week I will teach verse by verse through the passage of scripture so that you can better understand the word of God

and put it into practice in your life. Join me now as we look together into this

section of the Bible. Let me begin in a word of prayer and then I'm going to sit down and we'll start our

study. Father, thank you for the privilege of us being able to gather together as

Christian men and to look into your word.

And your word is truth, your word is timeless, your word is eternal, and it has great power and so I pray that the power of your word would be

unleashed in our lives today that your Holy Spirit would bring the truth home to our hearts. Bless these men and

bless everyone who's watching around the world to our study. May you attend the

lesson to their hearts with great force and blessing in Jesus name.

Okay, so we're in 1st John, chapter 3 and verse 19 as we continue our March through the book of 1st

John and the title of this lesson is Heart Assurance.

Heart Assurance.

And as always, I want to begin by reading the passage,

beginning in verse 19. in

beginning in verse 19.

John writes, we will know by this that we are of the truth

that we are of the truth, and we'll assure our hearts before him.

In whatever our heart condemns us, for God is greater than our heart and knows all things.

Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God.

And whatever we ask, we receive from because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
