And it did not end well.

I'll just, I'll just close the door. I am a single father, 43 male, to two children, Max, 17 male, and Liza eight female. I usually have Liza

in afterschool clubs so that I'm able to pick her up after work. However, last evening, I was

given some work that required me to stay late. I tried my best to negotiate out of it, but my manager told me the assignment had to be completed that night. So I just did it. It was nearing 6 p.m. and I knew I would not be able to make it to Liza's school. I called Max and asked him to pick her up. He responded by saying he could not because he was on a date with his girlfriend for their

sixth month anniversary.

I told him I understood but emphasized that I really needed him to get Liza and promised to

make it up to him for interrupting.

He angrily turned off the phone and I thought that although he was mad, he had decided

to pick her up anyway.

30 minutes later, I received a call from Liza's school asking where I was, because the school

was close to closing down and no one was there. Luckily, one of Liza's friend's mothers

said they would drop her off, which resolved the immediate problem. However, I did not like

Liza going with that particular friend, not because of the friend, but because of the mother.

She has a habit of asking Liza math question she cannot answer and then criticizing her over it.

It is quite mean.
