I was fortunate. I grew up in a household where my parents were

super encouraging of any dream that I ever had and I never felt

really restricted because my gender to pursue anything I was on an all-boys

hockey team growing up I had tons of guy friends as well as tons of girlfriends and I never felt beneath them.

However, I am attracted to men and that complicates things on ways that I wasn't even consciously aware of. For example, last week I saw the

trend of people putting concealer over their eyebrows to see what they would look like if they were to shave them off or

bleach them. I was curious so I did it one night and I loved it. I absolutely

loved it. I thought I looked so cool. Not even cool in the sense, but just like I looked

different and I liked that and it wasn't until that moment that I realized wait a second

the only hesitation that I would ever have for doing this

is becoming less attractive to men because that's what the look was. I was less, quote unquote, pretty.
