However, when we were younger, we would argue a lot, and it would almost always result in her winding me up to a point that I lashed out, and I'd always be the only one apologizing. Always felt on edge and had to tread lightly when bringing up anything she might disagree with. We're also very different people, which adds to the problem. By the way, this comes from user, you can read it, and if you want to submit your own stories, go to the R-slash-OK Storytime subreddit. The other week, we went on holiday skiing for a long weekend. Me and my partner, a friend of ours, my sister, and one of her friends. All was fine beforehand and no signs of issues at all. We have quite a different sense of humor compared to my sister and her friend, which caused some awkwardness but nothing major. To start with the theme, I was quite stressed in the car drive from the airport as we nearly got lost a few times. When we finally arrived and my partner left the car to get the key for the hotel gate, my sister said, I don't know why he stays with you. You're so annoying. I'm quite used to these sorts of comments, so I just left the car. Then over the course of the next few days, my sister just acted like we were there to serve her. She would constantly ask us to carry your bags or take them up to the apartment with no pleases or thank you. Our friend gave them a lift to get their shoes from the ski shop. and while her friends were super thankful and carried his bags, my sister didn't say thank you or show any gratitude whatsoever. Also, an example is that the coffee machine leaked all over the counter, and when I found it and raised it, she didn't make a move to help me clear it up. Just sat and watched. Another little thing was that we got coffee on the first day, and they just left their coffee cups in the middle of the ski slope, just assuming someone else would clean up after them. Also, over the weekend, we had a tab set up where we'd add anything we spent, and the idea was to split it at the end of the holiday. To save half, my sister did not once offer to pay for anything, even when we were scrambling

2:19.4

to find our cards to pay for some drinks. She just sat there and watched her peasants

fumble about. Added to this, when we went out for dinner, they ordered a $30 bottle of

2:28.7

Prosecco out of the blue, which prompted us to deliberately pay separately, as we knew they

2:32.7

would want to split equally. Don't get me wrong, me, my partner, and my friend, all earn good wages, as does my sister's friend. However, my sister doesn't earn a lot, so we'd let a lot of the stuff slide due to this. This then came to a head on the last day. In the morning, they mentioned the idea of getting a lift to drop their skis back at the hire shop. My friend and my partner were the only ones who could drive the higher car.

And they said maybe. a lift to drop their skis back at the higher shop. My friend and my partner were the only ones

2:51.5

who could drive the higher car. And they said maybe, but they'll probably be going for drinks after

2:56.9

skiing, so don't rely on it. It got to the end of the day and they'd gone for those drinks,

3:00.6

so they couldn't give a lift. I said this to my sister and said that there is a free shuttle bus

right to the ski shop that takes marginally longer than driving.
