If you listen to pop culture news, one phrase comes up a lot, cultural appropriation.

The phrase has become a staple in the media. Cultural appropriation. Cultural appropriation. The phrase has become a staple in the media.

Cultural appropriation. Cultural appropriation. Kim is being accused of blackfishing and cultural

appropriation. But as often as we hear the phrase, it doesn't seem to be clearly defined.

Cultural appropriation is when someone adopts a culture that isn't their own and does not

acknowledge or respect the culture being used for their own benefits.

Appropriation occurs when a style leads to racist generalizations or stereotypes where it originated,

but is deemed as high, fashion, cool, or funny when the privilege take it for themselves.
