How's it going everybody? Welcome to Trail Tales. My name is Kyle Grady. I am a huge hiking nerd.

0:07.1

And in every single episode of this podcast, I usually chat with other hiking nerds, but not for this one.

0:13.5

This is going to be a solo episode because, well, I got a few things to catch everybody up on. I'm just going to jump right into it.

0:24.8

I went back a little over a month ago now, and I tried to finish the PCT again, for those of you

0:34.0

that have been following my content for a while, you probably know the whole saga,

0:38.3

but for those that are new, I did most of the PCT in 2022. I did over 80% of it, closer to 90,

attempt.

0:58.2

And I finished about half of what I needed.

1:01.7

And I got burnt out again, closures in the same parts of the trail.

1:05.6

1:11.6

And well, you know what?

1:19.1

I'll save that for later in the episode.

1:21.9

I'll fill you in on my third year in a row of failing the PCT.

1:25.4

But first, I have a few more stories and a few more things

1:28.9

I want to talk about. The regular listeners, you'll know that, well, the show has been a little

1:33.8

spotty to say the least over the past few months over the summer. You know, I was putting out

1:38.4

episodes like every other week. And then for the past like over a month now, I haven't posted any

1:43.1

episodes.

1:52.0

So I'm going to talk about that and I have a few stories before we get to the PCT stuff.

1:57.7

So first of all, I just took a bunch of time off work this summer.
