Hey, this is Durey and welcome to Potsy of the People.

On this episode we're joined by Nakane, the singer, a songwriter and actor.

When people heard about the film, they were really upset that we had, I suppose,

queered something that was sacred and queerness was seen as something that was impure, deviant.

And then we have the news of me, Brittany Clinton, same as usual.

The message going into this week is be a cheerleader.

That we need to be intentional cheerleaders for people in our lives who are doing incredible

work.

And then sometimes we take for granted that they sort of believe that we support them,

that they know we love them.

And we actually have to be intentional cheerleaders.

And the thing about being a cheerleader is that cheerleaders have to watch the game to

know when to cheer.

Because you can't be an effective cheerleader if you're not asking the questions, if you're

not paying attention to the people in your life.

If you are just taking the for granted, you don't know how to cheer effectively.

The part of being an effective cheerleader is paying attention.
