| 0:20.0 | So I have two small children, eight and 11 two daughters and I had recently told them about their grandfather, which is my biological father. |
| 0:35.0 | I never really had a very strong relationship with him. My parents had divorced when I was very young, you know, like an infant and my mother had custody. |
| 0:46.0 | We did weekend visitations, but you know, once you got remarried, we were like the X wife's children basically. |
| 0:54.0 | And then he had, you know, some kids with his new wife and it was a very obvious situation for us that we were sort of not that welcome. |
| 1:03.0 | So, you know, as years went by, we just kind of stopped going and that relationship sort of faded. |
| 1:10.0 | And then as an adult, I tried to rekindle that in my 30s, but they're very unhealthy people to have a lot of their gossipy and, you know, just not that the kind of relationships I wanted to be around. |
| 1:23.0 | So sort of a strange from them. And I just backed out from that situation. |
| 1:27.0 | But now my kids, since I've shared with them about their grandfather who exists, I tried to explain to them, you know, that it wasn't, you know, he was my biological father. |
| 1:38.0 | But, you know, my stepfather's really my dad and it's really their grandfather who's very involved with, you know, my kids and myself very loving basically my dad. |
| 1:48.0 | So, my kids are asking they want to meet their biological grandfather and try to see them away from it. |
| 1:56.0 | But I don't want to create a resentment in their life, you know, if and when you pass away. |
