So I've been married for 28 years

just recently, probably about six months ago, I started noticing some withdrawals from the checkbook that my husband primarily manages.

He is

semi-retired. He does receive a pension. I go to work every day. He stays home.

He works as a contractor occasionally. So he takes care of a lot of the home type stuff.

So I don't look at the checkbook very often.

Started noticing a few discrepancies, big, huge withdrawals that I wasn't aware of.

asked him about it and finally was able to drag out of him that while I met work during the day,

he had been spending quite a bit of time and money at a local bar,

not necessarily with friends, but with people that he's meeting at this bar,

buying them around spending time and money and keeping it.

Monica. Yes. He's bored and depressed.

So how do I fix that? I can't do it for him.

I know that. But you need to address the fact that he's bored and depressed with him and ask him to get some treatment

and to come up with a game plan of what he can do so he won't feel so bad, so useless and be so bored.
