Hello, everyone. Welcome back to Prologs. My name is Mary, and today I want to talk about drinking

and alcohol and my relationship with it and why I feel confused by it. And I just want to tell you

upfront, this is not going to be an educational or informational episode. It's not a guide. It's not a how to.

I just want to just sit down and have a little chat,

girl to girl, and talk about how I feel. Because I feel like there's a lot of us that in the last

year, year and a half or so have just paused and reevaluated our relationships with alcohol.

Or maybe you just don't know what you want your relationship with it to be.

I don't know. All I know is this is a thing I think about all the time, and I figured it was time

to chat with you guys. I do want to say right off the bat, this is an absolutely judgment-free zone,

no matter where you are in your relationship with alcohol, whether you are going out four nights a week,

or whether you've been sober for four years. It's not really about that. This is a judgment-free

zone. I'm just chatting about my experiences because I feel like alcohol is almost inescapable

in our society today. And if you make the choice to engage, then fine. But making the

choice not to engage when you don't really have a quote unquote problem with it, as in like you

don't really struggle with addiction or alcohol abuse, but you still want to step back. I just feel

like it's hard to find people talking about that. And I have a

complicated history and relationship with it and that's what I want to get into today. This might be

a shorter episode because it really is just a one-on-one chat, just me talking about how I feel,

so I don't want to take up too much time with any life updates. But I do know that y'all want to hear

about Fergus.

So we've had Fergus for a week now, and it's been amazing.

It's definitely a big adjustment.
