And as your people in this house,

may we always stand in all of you,

choose to manifest and dwell among us.

well I want to I want to get into today the first lesson in a series of sermons.

All year, I'm not quite sure if you've noticed, but all year, every sermon has either

come from Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

Every sermon this year has come from the Gospels.

We're in a year-long sermon series with multiple volumes called

Goaded because Jesus is the goat. And so the Gospels detail the life and the ministry of Jesus.

And so that's where we've been speaking all year. And this month, we are starting goaded volume five from the series

subject detox in May of this year I taught a message called the burden of bad

religion and I thought I was done with the sermon and the Holy Spirit arrested me, prompted me, convinced me, convicted me that even though I was thought I was done with the sermon, that I wasn't done processing the thought.

And so that sermon is the inspiration for these series of sermons

will be engaged in over the next few weeks called detox.

And I want to go back to the book of Mark, chapter 8,

verses 14 and 15, and I want to use that as a launching pad to leap into this lesson as a pastor

even if I'm not your pastor as a pastor I'm going to ask you over these next few weeks
