1:44.0

Hi, Ken. Hi, Amber. How can I help today?

1:47.0

So, a little bit of background into my question. I went to school for a business admin four-year degree because I got a scholarship to play ice hockey.

1:56.0

But I knew my sweet spot back in high school was to be in a year. I love designing things and everything's done better with machines than I am with people.

2:06.0

Yes. So, I ended up going to the four-year degree and now I'm going back for a second bachelor's degree and currently in the program. I'm halfway through it. Working on paying it, so I'm debt free on this one because I wasn't on the last one.

2:21.0

I'm wondering when is it the right time to switch between the account and the account that I'm currently on, field by my business admin degree that I'm in a good job. I love the people I'm with, but the work I'm doing is not quite it to switching to mechanical engineering, which is what I want to do.

2:40.0

Yeah. Well, you know what this is? This is your in stage two. So, stage one is get clear. Well, you've been clear for a long time. You just haven't pursued it, but mechanical engineering is that sweet spot for you. That work, it allows you to use what you do best, do the work you love to do and create a result that you really care deeply about.

3:03.0

So, now you're in stage two, which is get qualified. So, it's what is it going to take for you to get qualified to be able to make the switch? So, the win you make the switch is answered by determining what it's going to take for you to get qualified. Does that make sense?

3:21.0

Okay. So, the three questions we ask in the get qualified stage, stage two, which you're in right now, we got to your step, you're right there on the on the outside, we need to step in. So, here's the question you ask, what do I need to learn?

3:33.0

What education and that does not have to be college degree? So, don't assume it's a college degree unless it's the only way or the best way, but we look at what certifications, courses, whatever.

3:46.0

What education do you need? Okay. What do you need to learn this? The education question. The second question is, what experience will you need? Is there any experience at all or will the certification alone be enough to get you in? Okay. That's the experience question. The third question is, how much is that going to cost you financially? That's the economic question. And then the fourth question is, how long will this take me based on those other three questions? That's the expectation question.

4:15.0

Do you know the answers off the top of your head or have you already done the research that allows you to answer those four questions?

4:23.0

I've done the basic research and I have a general idea because I've been chasing this path for so long. Education, really all I needed to batch those degrees because most of it's based on experience. That's what I thought.
