At 5 p.m., 17-year-old Danielle arrives home from school, thinking she is alone.

While chatting with her friends on her computer, Danielle suddenly hears her mother's partner,

Dante, in the kitchen.

Dante was my mom's boyfriend for about two and a half years.

He lived with us for a decent amount of that time.

I just had this weird feeling that I didn't trust him.

Like, there had been a few incidents one time, like a couple of our games where our PlayStation

went missing, and it was kind of weird.

Dante came out of the kitchen and just quickly asked me if he could borrow my brush so he could

shape up his hair.

So I told him, you know, no problem, and I think I went within a minute or two after yes, I went to go look.
