I'm 11. Jeanette, welcome to the program. Hi, Dr. Laura. Hi. So I don't know if you remember talking to me. It's been a few years. It's been a couple of years at least.

And I was well, that's quite a compliment that you think I will remember a couple of years back one call just on your voice sound. So tell you what update me. What did we talk about then and maybe somebody else didn't hear or doesn't remember either. So start at the beginning.

Okay, so in college, I was really in love with this soldier who went to Iraq and came and I waited for him and I was really loyal to him only to find out that he had married another woman behind my back.

I had transferred to go to Denver for journals in school. This was in Clark Phil, Tennessee, where I was originally living when I met this person and a station at Fort Campbell.

And it was just absolutely devastating for me when I found out and I told you know she had confronted me who are you? Damn, and I had so easily the love of my life, you know, and of course you think these things when you're young and you're in college and, you know.

But I held it towards for him for a long time that really affected any kind of relationship that I tried to have fallen love and when you get married and it was always this.

Paul person my back of my mind, you know, just what if you know that was because it was, it was just such a passionate romance for me. I had never been replicated.

You know, even though I dated and had boyfriend and all that. And then he found out that he had gotten divorced and we had served talking again.

And that's when I had called you and talked to you about that because he's living in Texas and I'm living in Nashville and I'm following my dreams and I'm a recording artist and singer songwriter and I was perplexed.

And you had told me that I deserved better and you're right.

And he told me that there's a bunch of other men in the world that would be happy to love me and you're right about that.

And I wanted to tell you that we never did and I'm seeing him.

I didn't and I realized that I am so much better person. I had done so much growth in myself that I wasn't the same person that I was.

Then I just don't hold that they don't hold the torch for him anymore. And it took talking to you. It took talking to friends about the situation took talking to my mom. And by the way, it's a licensed marriage and family therapist talking about that.

And also by talking to you encouraged me to get counseling and to work on those catchment issues and and I wanted to thank you for that because it's been here in counseling.

You're very well.

I'm a man. Yes, you are. And I did the right thing all those years ago when I told him no, and someone like that. Why would I want him back when you did me dirty then? I did the right thing.

But he's not was never going to be the person I needed. I know man that I need is God love him. You have to hear you say that.

God loving man who pray with me. And who is the center of our relationship who respects me.

He doesn't try to push sexual stuff on me or anything. He respects my faith that I've been celibate for 10 years. I'm looking for that man. And until I find him, I'm going to keep.

Keep loving Jesus. I want to stop. But I'm just Jesus is not husband right now. And I'm fine with that.
