| 0:00.0 | Hello my friends, welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you're ready to get your |
| 0:07.5 | mind aligned with God's truth today. We are in the midst of a study about our identity |
| 0:14.0 | in Christ. So in other words, who are we because of what Jesus has done for us? That's |
| 0:21.9 | the question that we're asking. And we're looking at various scriptures to find out |
| 0:26.2 | the answers. I would love to hear how this series is impacting you. Please write to |
| 0:31.3 | me, Carrie, C-A-R-E-Y, at Carrie, green, just like the color, calm. That's my email. You |
| 0:38.5 | can send me a message, it doesn't matter how short or long. I would love to hear your |

| 1:09.1 | wife in the bonds of marriage, right? That is something in our culture that serves as an |
| 1:15.5 | illustration of what it means to be joined to another person. It's an agreement, but it's |
| 1:20.2 | more than an agreement, right? It's a covenant. It's a connection with that other person |
| 1:26.3 | in a deep, intimate way, where both parties are committing themselves to the benefit and |
| 1:33.3 | welfare of the other. In some way, shape or form, the type of covenant is going to determine |
| 1:39.3 | what that is. Now, in this instance, we're talking about being joined to Jesus. Let's |
| 1:45.7 | look at 1st Corinthians 6, verse 17. Now, let me set the context for you here. Paul is in |
| 1:51.7 | the midst of instructing the believers in a city called Corinth about sexual immorality. |
| 1:58.3 | And he's trying to show them why sexual immorality is wrong. And he's just said that anyone |
| 2:05.4 | who joins themselves to a prostitute, okay? So he's talking about a sexual union there. |
| 2:12.3 | Anyone who joins himself to a prostitute is one with her or with him. There are male |
