Today meaning yesterday

I saw that 70 minutes at Uncle Benny's table was waiting for me and since it was the Monday after the open

Will von would be talking hoops and probably track and field and Sanzi would talk about golf

But he didn't just talk about it. He painted some visions of what is so glamorous about the open championship and to a great credit

You let him tell long interesting stories and that was just great. And I thank you for that

My dad was a golfer his job in the army in the early 50s was to keep the golf courses in Germany safe for Eisenhower

And by extension so were his six children only one of us plays

But we text back and forth with each other during majors talking about all the things my dad would be teaching us

He wasn't the nicest human, but he left us with one unbreakable bond for life
