Summary

Even at our most creative moments, we could go further if it were not for that little voice inside our head.

And that little voice puts up roadblocks. Sometimes those roadblocks are real, but more often those roadblocks are completely constructed from nothing but irrational fear or the most basic of actions.

In this episode I share a little thought exercise to help us identify those roadbacks and amplify creativity.

Enjoy!

I know that voice. Well, I'm guessing this is not news for you that there is a little voice that sometimes

hold us back.

0:24.8

That little voice, that's the voice that puts up roadblocks.

0:29.1

Sometimes those roadblocks are real.

0:50.3

basic, simple actions, like making a phone call, picking up a book, taking a step

0:56.0

in a direction that you feel in your bones is true for you. Perhaps knowing that other people,

1:04.8

that people like me and so many other guests on this show, and we shouldn't actually just limit it to this show, guests on all the podcasts that

1:16.1

you've ever listened to, the people that you respect, admire, look up to, appreciate for the

1:21.0

work that they put out into the world, perhaps knowing that those people also share these same silly roadblocks that you and I both share.

1:32.4

And maybe even knowing what some of those roadblocks are might help us move through them.

1:40.6

So here's a little experiment.

1:43.6

It's a very simple podcast today. It's a micro show.

1:48.2

I want to put it out there. I want to complete one sentence. I want lots of people,

1:53.7

lots of listeners to complete one sentence and share it out there in the world. Just saying some social forums, some texts, some friends, share this, and find out what

2:06.0

answers you get back.

2:08.6

So it goes like this.

2:10.6

I want you to complete the sentence.

2:12.2

I'd be more creative if dot, dot, dot, dot, fell in the blank.
