So basically, I hadn't seen him for three years when he showed up at my house and so I was just trying to be friendly and polite and nice.

And now I wish I had never opened up the door, obviously.

Christine Kent grew up in Connecticut, but at 26, she moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

She wanted a change of scenery and to see what new opportunities might await her. She did some

modeling but wanted to find something steadier. She saw an ad in the paper for a job

as a chiropractic assistant. She got the job and loved this new path.

It wasn't just the administrative duties on the front desk, but I also was hands on with applying the electric muscle stimulation to the patients

and then moist heat packs or ice packs depending on the level of their injury.

I also assisted the chiropractor with taking x-rays and other therapies.

It was a really great job. I really loved it. And it was very rewarding because I had a part to play in helping people feel better every day.

While working at the chiropractor, she would interact with the same patients that needed repeated treatment, including Alan Sinclair, who

Christine helped treat for a back injury.

And then there was a point in time that he actually asked me out and kind of, you know, did if do what I like to, you know, go out sometime.

So at the time I thought, well, you know, this is not really appropriate. appropriate also I wasn't interested in him anyway and I

certainly declined and told him you know I was flattered but it just wasn't allowed you know the doctor's office anyway, I didn't want to hurt his

feeling, so.

But Alan didn't read between the lines and realize Christine wasn't interested in him.

So when he was done with his treatment, he asked her out again.

And he asked me if I'd like to get together sometime.
