Growing up as a PK, I was not really allowed

to participate in all of the fun festivities

that everybody else will participate in, right?

Because you're the pastor's child, okay?

So instead of saying mom and dad, can I go to the party?

I would say my friends are having a fellowship.

I said my friends are having a fellowship.

I'm about to graduate in two weeks.

I'm 18 years old.

I'm on who's who of American high school students.

So can I go to this fellowship?

And my dad said, yeah, you can go,

but you gotta be home at 11 o'clock.

Somebody say, what?

I'm 18, 11 o'clock?

You know, like in the summertime,

like around April and May,

it don't really get good and dark to like 8.30.

I'm like, at least give me to midnight.

Now in high school, I was on the step team.

And so we went to this like fellowship

and everybody was kind of turning up,
