I have a question. So I have just found and I don't know if it just been with the pandemic and kind of all the news.

But lately I had just felt so much like worry about the future and I have kids and I think about them and the future and it's just starting to really get to me that sometimes I'm going like I can't enjoy today because I'm thinking about the future.

And I'm just wondering if there's any strategies to help me be able to not look at kind of start to look at the downsides if that makes sense, be able to not let these big really heavy things weigh on my mind.

You know, in the 1950s, mothers worried about Russia bombing us and everybody was building bomb shelters.

I was a little kid born in 1947. I had the brains to know Russia would never do that because then we'd bomb them too and that would be the end of everything.

So I was so not worried about that as a kid, but the adults were all freaked out.

Kids do not think about the future.

Adults start realizing mortality.

So we start thinking like yesterday, somebody said to me, I said, I'm going to move and I have so much stuff and I got to get rid of it. I don't even know where to start. And they said, why don't you put some in storage.

And I looked and I said, January, I'll be 75. I'm going to put in storage for when.

What purpose? Why would I do that? And they went, oh, so there are different ways of looking at things depending upon your place in life. Now, mothers in particular want everything to be okay for their kids.

So moms tend to worry much more than dads.

Because dads are very pragmatic.

Yes, whatever it is.

A guide viewpoint is whatever it is. We'll deal with it.

Mother's viewpoint is whatever it is. We're not going to be able to deal with it and everything's going to be horrible. That's how mothers think.
