| 0:56.7 | parts of my life. Okay, so to combat this set of beliefs, let's start off with a very famous |
| 1:02.2 | bit of psychology research. Years ago, a team of researchers asked people to wear a very embarrassing |
| 1:08.7 | shirt in public and then rate how much other people |
| 1:11.8 | noticed it. The people who wore the shirt overestimated by a very large margin, how much other |
| 1:18.2 | people even noticed, much less cared about the embarrassing shirt that they were wearing. |
| 1:23.8 | This led to what researchers coined to be called the spotlight effect. |
| 1:28.7 | Essentially, the mistaken belief that other people notice or care about us much more than they actually do. |
