I am coming to you live from Ramsey Studios in Nashville and you are joining a conversation about who you are, what you were created to do,

where you want to do it and how to get there. It's all about your purpose.

Because you were created to fill a unique role, you are needed and you must do it.

This is not a make you feel good and kumbayashou. This is hey, you were created to do good.

And that's why you long to answer the question, what should I do in my life?

Some of you never really answered it. Some of you thought about it. Some of you know the answer, but you're not quite sure how to get there and it's scary, I get all that.

Whatever your situation. Let's figure out what stage you are in. There are seven stages on this journey that I'm talking about to meaningful work.

We identify them as stage one is get clear. This is getting clear on who you are, what you want to do, and why you want to do it.

And where you can do it. Stage two is get qualified. This is the ticket for the journey. There's a journey of getting qualified that will allow you to get the ticket.

That leads to stage three get connected. Connections are the currency to progress. Stage four is get started at some point. All those connections are going to bring an opportunity to you.

And that's when you got to really swallow hard and step forward. Get started. Scary. Scariest stage for most people.

Stage five is get promoted after you're in and you do a good job, you begin to move up the ladder and you're getting promoted on your way to stage six, which is get the dream job.

And then when you get the dream job and I've got mine and you're in that, you're not done. In fact, that's where you really experience tremendous momentum.

You begin to invest for the long haul and you're in stage seven at the same time. And that is give yourself away. So what stage you in, let's help you figure out what you need to do to get to the next stage.

Hi Ken. So like you said, I talked to you yesterday. I had a question about acting for a raise and I ended up being told no. So I know I shouldn't take it personally, but I'm really not satisfied with that answer.

Yeah. I think I'm just not feeling very valued in my current job. And I'm just wondering the time to start exploring other options.
