New developments in the Sherry Pippini case.

Sherry Papani, a woman from the Reading area, claimed she was kidnapped by Hispanic women while on a jog.

Five years later, police said it was all a hoax.

Sherry Pupini arrived to court in a gray suit to address a plea deal on charges related to orchestrating her own kidnapping, including lying to a federal officer and mail fraud.

Oh, no, we can't have any... We're not going to talk about anything today.

Pupini was quiet with her hands clasped together. Her attorney, Bill Pornanova, did the talking as she made her way to see the judge this afternoon.

Life is very complicated and all we can do at the end of the day is the right thing and it is never too late to do the right thing.

So that's what we're doing and of course we thank everyone for all the work they did. But we're sorry.

We're trying to fix this thing.

Now to the Sherry-Papini case. Today, she was in federal court and admitted to faking her kidnapping

back in 2016. She claimed she was kidnapped by two Hispanic women.
