I should know if you started off with something like that. I mean, basically, if you think about it. I mean, basically because like the whole movie was really just talking about how men suck. Am I right? Yeah, I mean, it was the event of the summer and I didn't know I showed up just to get degraded. That's what I was like. For two hours, I sat there just being degraded. Like, what's wrong with me singing at you?

The movie violently anti-men. Oh, 100%. Super anti-men. You know, in the words of my favorite modern philosopher, you could call him Ben Shapiro. The movie takes itself very seriously.

Real thought leader of the life. It's a very serious movie. And so there are a lot of serious issues. And really that's kind of what I wanted to get on here and talk about was Ben Shapiro's 43-minute rant about Barbie. Yeah. Almost half the runtime of Barbie itself. Spoiler warning, by the way. Yeah. They're probably going to do like an in-depth review, but we're going to just bring stuff up flippingly.

We live on the internet. You know we have to talk about internet things. Yeah, I really, I just talk about Barmeheimer. I didn't want to watch the Ben Shapiro 45 minute breakdown. I had to. Yeah, but I just felt compelled.

And to be fair,

like my media stamina,

I feel like is pretty good.

Yeah.

Because we watch like three hour long Trump speeches for the show. And we were able to slog through those. But this was a tough watch. No, Ben Shapiro's video was a slog to get through because he just intentionally, maybe it wasn't intentional. Maybe he's just fucking stupid. but he just didn't get it and he made a 43

minute video where he was just mad about how he didn't get it and somehow it's like it's like

it's like an end of the spider verse you know when miles like is struggling in school and she gives

him his test back and she's like miles this was true or false and you got a zero yeah So to do that, you'd have to know everything so you could get it wrong. That's how I felt watching Ben Shapiro's video because somehow he misinterpreted every single thing that happened in that movie. Every time. Every time you got a chance. And it got me when he's like, no, this is a serious movie. Because it's not. Like, the themes are serious. It takes its themes seriously. But the movie itself is deeply unserious. You're trying to tell me that when Barbie fucking turns the shower on and no water comes out that this is a serious film. No, Ben, these are for visual gags. Yeah. God. And he kept saying over and over that the movie is for kids and their parents, like mothers and daughters to go and see. Movies PG-13. Facts. And the themes and things that, like, in the very beginning, like the first act of the film, the main conflict that Barbie, the main character runs into, stereotypical Barbies, that she's having thoughts of death. She's an existential crisis. It's not a movie for children, especially because culturally, when I think of young people today, they're not the ones playing with Barbies. They got iPads in their hands. The people that played with Barbies are older now and can appreciate media that takes a more in-depth look at what womanhood is really supposed to be, which is what the, or what womanhood is

and how it's treated in society, which is what the film is really about. And you know this
