Today's episode is another ghost story, the story about signs.

Perhaps they seem like coincidences.

Four years ago, after a 12-year battle with ovarian and breast cancer,

Stacey lost her mother and best friend.

Stacey's grandmother had also died from breast cancer when Stacey's mom was just

five years old. While Stacey had her mother in her life for almost 40 years, that still wasn't

enough time. Like Stacy, her children were also shortchanged on their relationship with their grandmother.

It has always been so important for Stacey to keep her mother alive in the minds of her children,

but often the pain makes it difficult to talk about.

However, on the night of what would have been her parents' 48th wedding

anniversary, Stacey recalled to her children a powerful experience she had after her mother passed away.

It was the night before what would have been my parents' 44th wedding anniversary, and two months

after my mom had died. David and I hadn't gone out on our own, or even socially really, for the past

six months prior, because I had been juggling traveling back and forth to be home with my

mom and I just wasn't there emotionally. This was the first night we were going out since my mom had died

and we had a sitter because friends were having a dinner party. Someone got sick and they had to cancel at the last minute.

We already had our sitter and decided to go out just the two of us,

planning to meet at a Japanese restaurant straight from work.
