Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Now, here's a new idea. Instead of

surprising your sweetheart with chocolates or flowers, how about having some ice cream delivered instead?

Hagen-Daz, owned by Nestle, announced it will soon begin a door-to-door ice cream delivery service.

Modelled after the classic milk delivery service,

Hagen-Daz will drop its frozen treats right on your front porch. Once you've savored the last

bite of chili confection, just put that ice cream container back out front. Nestle will pick it up,

clean it, and refill it for the next delivery. Delivering ice cream is an ecologically driven experiment for Nestle, which, like many of its

packaged goods competitors, is attempting to cut down on garbage.

The Frozen Treats pilot project is the tip of the iceberg of a broader initiative called

Loop.
