Welcome to a brand new episode of the Michelle Tofoya podcast.

We're going to go a little off script today and talk about this bombing of the nuclear sites in Iran.

And I don't have to tell you any news about this. You've heard the

news. What I wanted to share today was some of the reactions that I'm seeing online, which are

perplexing at best. Now, look, I'm massively proponent of free speech, big time First Amendment supporter.

People can say whatever they want to say.

When they post these things on social media, it is, it is out there.

And so while they can say what they want to say, I can react the way I want to react.

And I'm kind of disturbed by

some of this, encouraged by others, but kind of disturbed by some of it. So I'm just going to go

through some ex post for you to share with you what some of the insanity is out there and what

some of the good stuff is. So did you hear about the L.A. Sheriff's Department?

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department sent condolences to Iran. Okay. So their post on X when something like this, quote,

Our hearts go out to the victims and families impacted by the recent bombings in Iran.

That's the beginning of their post.

Our hearts go out to the victims.

My understanding is that the victims were nuclear sites. The victims and families impacted by the

recent bombings in Iran. My hearts go out to the Israelis too, because they'll be impacted in a

positive way. It goes on. While this tragic event occurred overseas, the Los Angeles County

Sheriff's Department is closely monitoring the situation alongside our local state and federal partners.

At the moment, there are no known threats to Los Angeles County.

However, out of an abundance of caution, we are increasing patrol checks at places of worship and other sensitive locations throughout the country.
