background both academic and military and what you're doing today. Well I'll tell you there

there are moments in our life Ken that tell us where we want to go and I had one of those moments

when I was growing up in San Antonio near Kelly and Lacklin Air Force Base. I used to see C-5s

flying near the house all the time but when a 747 flew over my house with a space shuttle attached

to the top of it I knew at that moment I wanted to be an aerospace engineer but like all good

journeys there was not a straight line path to where I thought I wanted to go right. I went to

Rice University they don't have an aerospace engineering degree at Rice so I majored in mechanical

but I did concentrate on the aerospace subjects and then I got an opportunity to do a program called
