It's been another incredible 24 hours of news.

Late yesterday afternoon, early part of yesterday evening, you would have seen that the Hugh

Edward's story took another turn because Hugh Edwards, the name that had been all over social media, the name that had been on everybody's lips inside the BBC.

Even the BBC had said that they knew exactly who it was, but they weren't revealing the name.

Hugh Edward's name was revealed by his own wife, who happens to be in the television business as well.

She's called Vicki Flynn. She actually is the

editor of the Peston show on ITV, which went out last night. And if you'd watch that last night,

you might have thought that Hugh Edwards was, of course, the victim in all of this. He has been

taken to hospital. He is now suffering a mental health crisis, according to his wife. So obviously,

you know, everybody will feel sorry for him in that way. However, there are other people who will say he has got himself into a situation that perhaps he should not have done.

And it may well be that he should have been prevented from getting himself in that situation by his employers, the BBC,

because the spotlight now shines very firmly on the BBC,
