He played the part of a global success story, a fashion-forward businessman who had made it, a symbol of opulence to his nearly 2.5 million followers.

But behind every filtered photo was a digital trail of fraud, deceit, and a criminal

enterprise so vast it would eventually bring down companies, law firms, financial institutions,

and his own freedom. What made Hush Puppy different from other scammers wasn't just his

scale. It was the boldness. The audacity to commit cybercrime on a global

level while posting about it in real time. For years, U.S. law enforcement agencies watched his

account, tracked the flags in his captions, and matched digital footprints between online crimes

and the social media influencer's real-time location. He was living the high life in Dubai's

most exclusive penthouses while orchestrating massive business email compromise, BEC, schemes that stole

millions from unsuspecting victims across the world, many of whom were based in the United States.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria in October 1982, Ramon Abbas came

from modest beginnings. His father was a taxi driver and his mother sold bread. Poverty was not just
