My partner plays way too many video games, constantly prioritizing those over our own children and our home.

And after dealing with this for so long, as well as working 12-hour shifts all the time,

I'm constantly under stress, to upkeep the house as well as

taking care of both of our kids while my partner sits there and plays video games

all day and I'm honestly not sure if I'm the jerk for asking him to play less and try to be more involved in our lives.

Because at this point I seriously don't know what to do.

Here's what happened.

Okay, so hear me out.

When we first got together six years ago, he did not play video games.

It wasn't until a little over a year into our relationship that he started, which is right when

we got internet that wasn't weak.

He had mentioned playing when he was younger, but I thought he grew out of it.

And at this point I was pregnant with our first child.

When our baby was born, he played video games a lot, and he did a lot of this during his

paternity leave.

We ended up going to therapy for other reasons, mainly just about all the struggles of being

new parents and how that affects a relationship. And that's when he did apologize for how he treated me

during my pregnancy and he honestly did way better after our second child.

But now I'm back to feeling like I'm in competition with his PC.

I also just wish that he would help out with chores before gaming.

Like I enjoy playing Sims 4, but I've barely played because I can't enjoy it

if I know there's stuff that needs to be done, let alone while there's two kids that need my
