worldview. I'm Maria Bear alongside John Stone Street president of the Coulson

Center. Well, John this morning, another hurricane ripped through the southeast.

Of course, last week we were talking about the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. This week it's Hurricane Milton.

I've heard some reports that in some areas it wasn't as bad as expected but it also sounds like the Florida government in particular

did a really good job of warning people ahead of time and that a lot of people were able to evacuate.

I know there was a lot of traffic coming out of there.

It just seemed like a really, really scary situation. And what I was reading too this

morning is that Milton intensified very quickly. So it went from like a category one storm to a category five

storm in 24 hours which is unbelievable. So I'm sure in the coming days we're

going to find out more about the extent of the damage and hopefully the loss of life is minimal.

But it's been a wild week, but I wanted to talk with you about this because yesterday I heard a story on NPR was covering this storm and not only is every

story framed you know every story about the weather is going to be framed about

climate change but they have a new drumbeat at least I think it's new over there, that every time
