Florida, braces for impact from Hurricane Idaalia.

It's not like you can say, oh yeah, this is like X storm. A lot of people have not seen

this.

While authorities are warning residents that this one is different, presidents have dreamed

of this opportunity now that Biden White House gets it shot.

We expect that this could impact as many as 9 million people.

Prescription drug prices could be getting cheaper for everybody. And we've seen shipping backups

before, but not like this.

The water level would be about a meter higher than it is right now.

Earlier this year, our chief meteorologist, Ginger Z, was in Florida, describing to us how hot

the water was.

Unprecedented levels up to seven degrees warmer than they should be this time of year.

She said it's bad for coral, it's bad for animals, but it's also dangerous for us now.

Because remember what hot water represents? It is fuel for hurricanes.

This morning, as we post this, Hurricane Idaalia is making its way toward Florida. It's

been traveling up through the Gulf toward the big bend that part where Florida turns west

into the rest of the contiguous US. And while we often talk about hurricanes losing power

as they approach land, this one has been speeding up.
