Florida is bracing for what's expected to become a major hurricane.

The National Weather Service says Edaulia is going to get much stronger as it inches closer to the US.

Meteorologists say it's likely Edaulia will make landfall tomorrow along Florida's Big Bend,

which stretches from Tampa to just south of Tallahassee. And when it does,

it could bring life-threatening storm surge, potentially catastrophic winds,

heavy rain, and flooding to millions of people.

So evacuation orders have been issued for at least 10 Florida counties.

And thousands of National Guard members have been activated to help respond to the storm,

along with FEMA personnel who have been deployed too.

Tampa's International Airport and the University of Florida's campus are also closed

today and tomorrow. Of course, K-12 schools canceled classes too.

And the state has been setting up shelters for evacuees.
