Hey, Oddcast listeners, I'm so thankful that you're here with us and we just want to explain that we are

pausing the oddcast for today and we will return with new episodes in exactly one

week right here. As you know, many of our Bob and

Sherry listeners and thousands and thousands and thousands of people have had their lives completely upended by Hurricane Helene.

It took an unexpected path and slammed into upstate South Carolina, Georgia,

Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee.

The flooding, I don't know how to explain the flooding

without sounding like hyper-dramatic, but entirely. explain the

Not only did we have floodwaters come through but we had mudslides and as the waters came through picking up down trees debris parked cars dumpsters containers we just had this river of sludge and objects crashing into things. We have people stranded. We don't even know how bad this storm is going to be. Here at Oddcast World Headquarters, every single one of us,

lost power, internet. I haven't had mobile phone service for days.

And so out of respect for what our team members are going through,

especially Lamar, who has one tree on his roof, another tree that took out his back deck, a tree on his truck, and a tree on his camper.

The only thing that a tree is not on is his dog.

Everything Lamar has is smashed up and he and

Carla can't even go home yet. So out of respect for that and just out of an abundance of concern and care for so many of our neighbors and fellow Americans who have had their lives completely turned upside down.
