Summary

I've included adaptogens — non-toxic plants that help the body resist stressors of all kinds — in my regular diet for over 2 years now. I know why I like them: They make me feel more capable, sort of like meditation. My stress feels more at bay, and although I may not be able to attribute that all to the herbs — I swear they help. I wanted to dive into this topic, because a lot of the products I talk about on the show include them. That's where Danielle Ryan Broida comes in, the national educator for Four Sigmatic, a registered herbalist, and holistic nutritionist. In today's #HURDLEMOMENT, we talk about adaptogen basics: What are they, what are popular types, how much is the right amount, who is safe to take them, and a few other hot questions.
