Summary

As I type these show notes, I'm just an hour removed from learning about the 26-year-old woman who was shot during her run last night in Tennessee. My heart aches for so many whom, regardless of gender identity, fear for their safety when they go outside and do the thing that once made them feel free. For today's episode, I'm chatting with my dear friend and Adidas Runners Performance Coach and Girls Run NYC founder Jessie Zapo about how we can do better, what allyship looks like for the running community, and our history with harassment on the run.

When we had the conversation about runner safety back in 20 or 22 it was shortly after the murder of Liza Fletcher and Liza as we say in this conversation was not the first person to lose her life on a run and certainly not the last.

And so in today's conversation as I said a little too relevant this week we talk about a lot of things when it comes to runner safety we talk about how the two of us as New Yorkers feel about running right now both alone and in groups we chat about how you can be more safe on the run and maybe tools that the both of us are using.
