Hi everyone, welcome back to our series on Presidential Assassination Attempts.

In the first part in the series,

we looked at Presidential assassination attempts against FDR.

There were a few near misses, including one case where a bullet was only two feet away from his head.

If FDR had been assassinated,

you can pretty well argue that World War II would have turned out very differently.

In fact, the Alternative History, Philokidix, the man in the High Castle,

is about how Nazi Germany wins World War II,

and controls Europe and by extension of the United States,

and the place where his timeline diverges from our timeline,

is where FDR is assassinated successfully in 1936.

Now, that's not to say that the Nazis would have won World War II,

and in one of my podcast episodes,

I look at the man in the High Castle,

and I argue that there was almost no scenario where Nazi Germany could have won,

and you can go back to the archives and listen to that there.

So I'm not saying that Nazis would have won an FDR would have been shot,
