maybe three or four months um but mike hern uh traveled with me to Alaska my first experience with him was dude this big this just giant smile running across the airport like hey

you kj like that's it and i soon found out what an animal he actually is so uh my give the folks the give the

gun talk hunters out there a little glimpse behind your life what you do uh where you came up from just give

us a little bit of some stories um well yeah so i grew up in upstate new york where the uh the men and

the men and the sheep are scared everyone when i tell people i'm from upstate in the york everyone's like

new york city yeah get a rope no no it's dairy farms like the further north you go the more of the

banjo music starts to play right i mean it is but you're from banjo banjo country yeah you might as

i mean i'm telling you you might as the the further the further north in new york state you go it's

it's like you i don't know what happens but a paradox happens that it shifts and you feel like you're

in the deep south minus everyone doesn't have a southern accent like there's junk cars decorating

front lawns um it's it's country it's real america right yeah it is real america uh it's a great place

minus you know the gun laws and stuff yeah um but i grew up up there small town not a lot going on

right uh both anyone that's grown up in a small town usually knows uh you there's nothing to do

so yeah you either you either get out of town or you stay there and you keep doing the same stuff

which i was getting in trouble because getting in trouble is one of the only fun things to do in a small

town so uh that's how i spent my free time so i ended up going in the military straight out of high
