A winding road through mountains led to a tunnel, black and ominous like the gaping mouth

of some grey beast.

And once its dark interior was braved, the road split into trails, narrow passes in the hills that swept through a mist-shrouded valley.

Here the legends were thick as the forest, and few dared even whisper.

Those tales of the many souls that had tread this ground and never been heard from a game.

woodland of a place known to locals as hungry hollow. I got to reach the tunnel.
