Well, it's a whole brand new week here, and President Biden just gave a, well, he was supposed to

give a speech and turned into kind of a mini press conference in which he said that because Mitch McConnell

has chosen to filibuster raising the debt ceiling, there is a very real possibility that the United

States could default on its debts for the first time in its history. Now, I'm skeptical that this

is going to happen. I think the president is playing high stakes chicken with Mitch McConnell, but he's

saying Mitch McConnell is playing high stakes chicken with the economy. That's true.

Well, here's the deal. Well, McConnell has said is that he's not going to allow the debt ceiling

increase to pass with just the 50 Democratic votes. The Democrats are ready to pass it.

You'll keep in mind, you know, Republicans passed debt ceiling increases three times and suspended

at the fourth time during the four years of Trump's administration. They raised the debt ceiling eight

times during George W. Bush's administration. They raised the debt ceiling 12 times during the

time of Reagan and the first Bush. I mean, raising the debt ceiling when there's a Republican in

the White House is like just pro forma for the Republicans. But as soon as the Democrat comes in,
